This Wednesday, September 16, Lidl Unveils a €69 Portable Dual-Burner Induction Cooktop – Ideal for Cooking Without a Full Kitchen

On this Wednesday, September 16, Lidl highlights a device that could be useful in many interiors. Listed at 59 € instead of 69 € on the brand’s French site, this double Silvercrest induction hob enables you to create a true cooking corner where a full kitchen does not necessarily fit.

At Lidl, a hob designed for small kitchens

Studio, kitchenette, vacation home, or a residence undergoing renovation, situations where space is tight are not uncommon. This Lidl hob has the advantage of requiring no special installation. It sits on an appropriate worktop and plugs into a power outlet to be used.

Its size remains fairly compact with about 56 cm wide by 31 cm deep and only 6.5 cm tall. Once the meal is finished, it can therefore leave the worktop and join a cupboard. A useful solution to save space in a small kitchen or to occasionally add burners for family meals.

Lidl bets on two burners to cook without major renovations

The appeal of this Lidl model lies mainly in its two independent cooking zones. This allows you to prepare pasta on one side while a sauce or vegetables cook on the other, without the need for a built-in hob. The touch controls let you adjust each burner according to the planned dish.

The hob also features an adjustable timer up to 240 minutes. Several safety features complete the package, including overheat protection, a child lock, and saucepan detection. This last feature prevents the device from continuing to operate when no compatible cookware is placed on it.

Why the Lidl hob can become a real supplementary appliance

For maintenance, Lidl has chosen a glass surface that cleans after cooling with a damp cloth and a mild product. The absence of a fixed installation also makes it easier to move from one room or dwelling to another, which can be handy on a van trip, for example!

One point remains to check before purchasing. Like any induction hob, it requires pots and pans with a magnetic base, with a diameter here ranging from 10 to 22 cm. At 59 € currently on Lidl France, it mainly offers an affordable way to arrange a kitchen space without undertaking a renovation.
