Everyone knows that as time passes, the body inevitably changes, and one of the most common changes is the loss of muscle mass and an increase in body fat, which is exactly what causes those weight gains. However, although all this may seem like a process everyone has to go through, the doctor Jorge García-Dihinx has explained in simple and direct terms that reversing this is possible. Through a video he uploaded to his Instagram account he revealed what his tricks are to stay in shape even at 55, talking about his diet and the daily habits he follows.
Breakfast Is a Key Point
The doctor is blunt: if you want to improve your body, you must build muscle and burn fat. And to achieve this, the first meal of the day is key. According to García-Dihinx, the classic oatmeal porridge with milk is a mistake if your goal is to define yourself: “Not even with the milk protein will you reach barely 15 g of protein (…), so you will be a machine at burning sugars and storing fats,” he says, explaining that the oats’ carbohydrates raise insulin and block fat burning for the four hours after.

Instead, the doctor proposes an alternative that breaks with all those ‘miracle diet’ myths circulating online: a breakfast based on proteins and fats, specifically five or six scrambled eggs. “With five eggs you reach the 30 g of protein threshold, which will direct that protein toward muscle mass. And by eating fat without carbohydrates, the fat will be what you burn as energy (…). You will be a fat-burning machine and not one that stores it,” he explains. He also asserts that this habit improves the “lipid profile,” reduces triglycerides, and improves insulin sensitivity.
The Five Tips the Expert Offers
That Jorge García-Dihinx has managed to improve his physique now that he is older, even better than when he was young, is by no means a coincidence. That is why the expert has taken it upon himself to reveal what the real tips are to follow, leaving behind all those false ideas that are published daily.
