ROLAND Dransfield has been appointed by D&D London to handle PR for the launch of its flagship Manchester restaurant, 20 Stories.
The Manchester-based agency, which only launched its consumer division in July last year, fought off intense competition from three other established agencies to land the much sought-after account.
The new 20 Stories restaurant will take over the top floor of the landmark No1 Spinningfields building in the heart of Manchester’s rapidly growing business district. It is due to open in March this year.
D&D London has appointed renowned former Manchester House head chef Aiden Byrne to lead the kitchen at this anticipated new restaurat.
D&D London is a group of luxury restaurants, bars and hotels based principally in London, but also with venues in Paris, New York and Tokyo. The company owns some of the capital’s most celebrated restaurants, such as Quaglino’s, Le Pont de la Tour, Chelsea’s famous Bluebird and City favourite Coq d’Argent.
Lisa Morton, Roland Dransfield MD, said: “The Roland Dransfield team have been really busy since we launched our consumer arm earlier in the summer.
“We’re thrilled to have won such a high-profile account as 20 Stories so soon into this tenure and against such intense competition at pitch stage.
“We are busy working on the launch campaign for 20 Stories, which culminates in an epic launch event at the end of this month.
“There’s lots of exciting stuff to come from D&D and we couldn’t be happier to be involved in bringing this incredible dining space to Manchester.”
D&D London’s marketing director Tiffany Robinson said: “We are delighted to have Roland Dransfield on board to launch 20 Stories.
“We needed a strong and savvy PR agency to launch this exciting restaurant and we were particularly impressed with Roland Dransfield’s enthusiasm and strategic creativity that goes beyond the standard restaurant launch tactics.”
Roland Dransfield’s consumer division already counts new Manchester double-decker hotel Crowne Plaza/Staybridge Suites as a client, as well as The Slate Yard – the new Legal & General Built-to-Rent apartments at New Bailey, Salford. Their consumer arm also looks after PR for Sale Sharks, online art gallery Drella, city centre indoor golf club The Range and the Offside Trust.
