One day creative industries festival to launch at Old Granada Studios

Posted by admin on 5th April 2017

Allied london event

A one day festival at Old Granada Studios will bring together some of the most creative, innovative and disruptive makers, thinkers and entrepreneurs together for the launch of ECUK, complete with Reform Radio DJs, food, craft beer, cocktails and entertainment.

Food and Drink will be provided in the form of specialty coffee & homemade cakes from Northern Quarter’s Idle Hands, nutritional goodness from Soulmate Foods, Small Plates from Beastro, craft beers from Track, ABC and MCR Brew Co, as well as epic ECUK-themed cocktails and a small, intimate wine-tasting with Nick Fildes.

The festival will feature events, talks and workshops across four stages. The Workshop/Makers stage will be home to brush lettering workshops by Lola Hoad, Candle Making by Sun.day, illustration workshop by Alex Jones, a Live Fashion Branding Event – the first of its kind – featuring Dior from Pepper Your Talk and lifestyle photographer, Rosie Ann Butcher.

The Disruption and Discussion Stage, featuring speakers from The Crystal Maze, Nuuk, Tech for Good, Creative Review, Wallpaper*, Matt Curtis (Total Curtis) and James Brown founder of the GQ Man of the Year awards and media entrepreneur.

On the NxNW Tech Stage, the likes of Easle, Reason Digital and OBI will host an engaging series of tech-powered talks, alongside creative coding workshops.

A collection of talks will also be taking place on the Innovation Stage – as ECUK’s platform for brand new concepts, products and ideas, including the Lumen Prize Gold Award 2016 Hyperplanes of Simultaneity and tech-illustrator Tash Willcocks of Hyper Island.

Enterprise City UK Festival brings together 12 creative industries under one roof to launch a new innovation hub in Manchester city centre.

The launch festival will be a celebration of the creative industries, of designer/makers, original thinkers, innovation and up and coming retail and leisure, and will act as a precursor to the cluster itself, which will support these businesses from start-up to grown-up across a family of 5 buildings.

The first 60 to RSVP will receive exclusive Enterprise City UK goody bags on arrival. #ECUKmcr
