Marc Yaffe, Partner and Head of Commercial Litigation at full service law firm JMW Solicitors LLP has joined the board of a local sporting charity along with local Property Entrepreneur John Russell, Chief Executive of Fairhome Group Plc.
They will join the existing board members of the Diane Modahl Sports Foundation (DMSF), a registered charity which works with young people from disadvantaged areas across the North West, enabling them to make the most of themselves in sport, school and life.
Marc Yaffe, will be the Trustee responsible for legal services for the foundation, also founded JMW’s Barn Door platform which supports the welfare of professional athletes and commercial businesses and boasts 80 businesses and more than 200 athletes including footballers, boxers, Pro-golfers and Olympians.
John Russell is currently Group Chief Executive for the Fairhome Group PLC, who work in the support living property sector. John has over 20 years’ experience as an entrepreneur in property sector and has joined the DMSF board as the Trustee responsible for Commercial Liaison.
Marc and John join current Trustees Jim Battle, Charlene Nunn, Aaron Saxton, Johanna Bolhoven, Charlie Roberts, Steven Worthington and Samuel Akin-Wale along with the CEO and Co-Founder Diane Modahl, who is one of Britain’s most successful 800m runners, winning a Gold Medal in the 1990 Commonwealth Games.
Commenting on his appointment, Marc Yaffe said: “I am honoured to have been appointed to the board of DMSF. The foundation does a fantastic job to support young people in the North West to enhance their employability as well as inspiring them to get involved with sport. I am looking forward to working alongside my fellow board members for this very worthy cause.”
