International accountancy and advisory firm Mazars has made 49 appointments across its offices in Manchester and Liverpool in less than a year.
The rapid growth has been attributed to a significant investment in young talent and a major public services win.
The audit and accountancy teams have welcomed 12 graduates and school leavers, while an 11-strong team has been brought on to work on a five-year contract to audit all 13 of the local authorities in Greater Manchester.
This will be led by director Karen Murray, who joined Mazars in March having worked in public sector external audit for 25 years.
Tim Hudson, office managing partner in Manchester, said: “It is great to welcome so many new faces and we are delighted to continue our impressive growth both in the North West and nationally.
“We are supporting a wide range of fantastic businesses and are seeing many opportunities to attract new clients as well. We are planning for continued growth, and are redoubling our commitment to the North West by building a pipeline of exceptional young talent in the business.”
