Leading international law firm Hill Dickinson is pleased to announce that it has been re-appointed to the Co-operative Group’s (‘Co-op’) legal panel. Having first been selected for the Co-op’s property panel in 2009, Hill Dickinson has been successfully re-appointed to the roster on a full-service basis following a review launched in the summer of last year.
The appointment, which is for an initial three year period, confirms Hill Dickinson’s strong track record acting for the Co-op and will enable the firm to draw on the breadth of its business services offering to meet the broad and varied remit. The work that falls within the scope of the panel ranges from major property transactions and complex litigation to corporate, commercial and regulatory work.
The Co-op has cut its panel of legal advisers to just seven firms with a focus on securing the right value from its advisers. The other six firms on the refreshed panel include Allen & Overy, Fieldfisher, Addleshaw Goddard, Pinsent Masons, Paris Smith and Brodies.
Hill Dickinson’s tender was led by Claire Cosgrove, Partner in the Property Team at Hill Dickinson, with assistance from Geraldine Ryan, Head of Commercial Litigation, Matt Noon, Corporate Partner, Ralph Bullivant, Property Litigation Partner, Mark Fitzgibbon, Head of Commercial and Intellectual Property, and Rachael Allen, Commercial Property Senior Associate.
Claire Cosgrove, Client Relationship Partner at Hill Dickinson for Co-op, commented:
“We are thrilled to have been reappointed to the Co-op’s legal panel and to have the opportunity to work with other parts of the business that we have not previously provided services to. This appointment is a testament to Hill Dickinson’s work with the Co-op to date, and our focus on client service, complementing the strength and depth of our experience within the retail sector.”
