In the fourth in a series of live, output events by ECUK, we partner with The Neighbourhood to ask the question:
What is Design and how do we design Design?
Design permeates all that we are and all that we do. Today it is classified as one of the creative industries, but arguably design is in all the creative industries and beyond into strategy, tradition and business.
What does it mean to you and how does it manifest today in 2017?
Join ECUK and The Neighbourhood as we bring together a diverse panel of creatives who design amongst other things: buildings, clothing, brands, craft, food, products and animation and get their take on design and design process today.
Tash Willcocks, from Hyper Island will be mindmapping the contributions of our panel and audience, and producing a live diagram on what design means to us in 2017.
After Hyper Island’s mindmap exercise, designers from different industries will be paired together for the second element of the event, where we will have a design mash-up.
‘What if Vivienne Westwood designed a building” and “What if Gordon Ramsay designed a chair”?
How do the processes of different factions of design differ and what if we mashed up process with output to create a new dimension of design? Join us as we explore.
