Amber Road, the world’s first travel partnership company are today delighted to announce our partnership with Railguard, winner of GTMC’s innovation award.
Due to continuing changes in legislation by the Department for Transport Railguard allows travellers to claim compensation on all UK train operating companies if their train is delayed and full compensation in the case of a cancellation, having the potential to save clients up to £600 per traveller per year.
Railguard will be available to Amber Road clients across a wide range of industry sectors and sizes, including professional services, manufacturing and engineering, retail, meditech and technical services.
The service joins a host of technological advances Amber Road has made in the past 12 months including the introduction of Travelport as their GDS and the inclusion of NDC fares in online booking tool PLANNET.
Clive Wratten, Amber Road’s Chief Executive said ‘’Amber Road is committed to partnerships that add value to our clients. Railguard automates rail delay compensation for our clients, making the claim hassle free for the traveller. I was impressed when I saw Railguard at the GTMC conference in Ireland and delighted when they agreed to partner with us.’’
Matt Freckelton, Managing director of Railguard, said “We’re excited to be working with Amber Road Travel to offer their clients a stress-free way of claiming rail compensation. Their customer-focused approach to travel aligns with our own ethos and we are looking forward to providing their clients with our user-friendly delay repay service.’’
Railguard will be piloted to multiple Amber Road clients over the forthcoming months before being available to all in the near future.
